Iziiko (i-zee-koh): noun. A Runyankole-Rukiga word for a crucible. A pot in which metals or other substances can be melted or heated up to very high temperatures.
Who we Are.
And the words of the Lord are flawless,
like silver purified in a crucible,
like gold refined seven times. Psalm 12:6.
This is the wonderful nature of the word of God and when we delve into scripture, we go through a similar process. As we learn, gain understanding, wrestle with, get rebuked, receive guidance, and so much more, the word of God takes us through a transformation. As one in a crucible, we become refined and become better Christians, witnesses, and servants of the Lord and His church.
This is the heart of Iziiko (the Rukiga word for a crucible). We hope to be a part of a generation of African Christians who are immersed in the word, in love with the scriptures, and well-equipped to love and serve the kingdom of God. We hope to be a part of a generation that reflects the words in 2 Timothy 2:15; Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. We aim to equip all Christians to learn how to have such fruitful interactions with scripture, where their involvement with the word will result in profound and tangible transformations in their hearts and their lives.

Our Mission
To engage the believer’s mind to continuous refinement for a Christ-like community.
Statement of Faith.
- We believe in the Bible as the inspired, authoritative words of God, infallible and without any mistake. (2 Tim 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21, 1 Thessalonians 2:13)
- We believe in the One God that saw it perfect to be revealed in the three persons in the Trinity; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
- We believe that Jesus Christ (the eternal son of God) came into the world born of the virgin Mary as prophesied in the Scriptures, lived as a man, sinless throughout his life on earth, died for man’s sin, was buried and rose again.
- We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer immediately after his/her faith is placed in the Lord Jesus Christ and that God through the Holy Spirit empowers the believer to walk a godly life. (Galatians 5:16-25)
- We believe that no one can enter the kingdom of God unless born again spiritually, and that the new birth of the believer comes only through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (John 3:17-18)
- We believe that local churches gather together for practical instruction in the scriptures, for fellowship with God and with other believers (Acts 2:42-47)
- We believe that both men and women are created in the image of God. Male and Female are a representation of God share in the tremendous privilege of authority and stewardship over His creation. (Genesis 1:27)
